Laurier Provides Hiring Incentive for Local Companies

In an ongoing pursuit to make it happen, Laurier Research has received funding from the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario to create a Laurier-Industry Internship Program!

This program provides a great opportunity for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) graduates to develop business and management skills to compliment their technical expertise, while providing local companies with technical talent.

If you’re a small to medium sized company in Southern Ontario with fewer than 1000 employees and can commit to mentoring an intern, this program fits like a glove.

Laurier Research helps connect recent STEM graduates (within 5 years) from a bachelor, master’s or PhD program with companies offering a 6 month internship opportunity.  Did we mention that Laurier subsidizes up to half of the intern’s salary? (click here for more details)

Thanks to these hiring incentives companies all across Canada are choosing to call Kitchener-Waterloo home!
