Students! Show off your startup at the Laurier Entrepreneurship Competition

It’s that time of year again: the Laurier Entrepreneurship Competition is back! Brought to you by Laurier Innovation + Entrepreneurship, Startup Laurier, and The Nicol Foundation, the Laurier Entrepreneurship Competition (LEC) is the perfect opportunity for student entrepreneurs to show off their stuff.

The competition has 3 parts to it:

  • The applications  – startups apply to be a part of the competition by filling out a form that describes their business. The last day for applications this year is Friday, January 24th
  • The semifinals – eligible teams will be accepted and pitch their business concept to the judges on Wednesday, February 12th
  • The finals – the top teams from the semifinals will go on to pitch in front of a panel of judges on Wednesday, February 26th

Oh, and don’t forget… there are some really amazing prizes to be won (WIIFM statement!) The 1st place team will walk away with $5,000 in cold hard cash for their business, 2nd will take home $2,000, and 3rd place gets $1,000. So what are you waiting for? Get that application in!
